Aircraft History
Built by Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation (CAC) constructors number 910. Assigned to the RAAF during May 1943.

Wartime History
Assigned to 5 Squadron and 84 Squadron. With 5 Squadron, detached to 86 Sqaudron.

Mission History
On October 20, 1943 took off from Horn Island Airfield piloted by P/O A. H. O'Brien on a flight bound for Mareeba Airfield. He was forced to make a wheels up landing on the beach 20 miles south of Point Stewart on Princess Charlotte Bay following engine failure near Iron Range. The pilot was initially MIA, and later found alive.

Wreckage
The outer wings were recovered by Dick Hourigan in the early 1970s and the rudder is with Greg Batts.
