Built by the Department of Aircraft Production (DAP) at Fishermans Bend in Melbourne.

Wartime History
Delivered to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) as Beaufort Mark VIII serial number A9-636. Assigned to No. 8 Communication Unit (8 CU). No known nickname or nose art.

Mission History
On March 9, 1945 took off from Goroka Airfield and crashed two miles from the airfield. During the crash, Muller was killed and Adams was injured and died of his injuries on March 23, 1945. During May 1945 converted to components and abandoned.

Muller was officially declared dead the day of the mission. Adams died of his injuries on March 23, 1945. After their remains were recovered both were buried at Lae War Cemetery. Adams at J. B. 12. Muller at J. B. 11.
