On October 22, 1944 departed from Fairfield Airfield and ferried via Hickam Field overseas across the Pacific to Australia arriving November 1, 1944.
Assigned to the 5th Air Force, assignment unknown.
On December 5, 1944 took off on a mission. This B-24 crashed or ditched northeast of Goold Island to the north of Hinchinbrook Island. Officially condemned due to accident, date of crash might have been on or around December 5, 1944.
Possibly, the wreckage a B-24 off Hinchinbrook Island is this aircraft.
