Built by Consolidated at San Diego. Delivered to the U.S. Army. Ferried overseas via Hawaii to Australia.

Wartime History
Assigned to the 5th Air Force (5th AF), 90th Bombardment Group (90th BG) "Jolly Rogers", 319th Bombardment Squadron (319th BS) "Asterperious". Nicknamed "On The Ball" with the nose art of a brunette girl wearing high heels seated atop a striped ball.

Mission History
On September 8, 1943 took off from 5 Mile (Ward Drome) near Port Moresby piloted by 1st Lt. Marcy P. Kalman and crashed after take off due to unknown reasons.
