Aircraft History
Built by Consolidated at San Diego. Constructor Number 888. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as B-24D-15-CO Liberator serial number 41-24093. Ferried overseas via Hawaii to the South Pacific (SOPAC).

Wartime History
Assigned to the 13th Air Force, 307th Bombardment Group (307th BG), 370th Bombardment Squadron (370th BS). Nicknamed "Ready Teddy". When lost, engines R-1830-43 Serial Numbers: a) 42-41307 b) 42-42036 c) 42-44427 d) 42-43686.

Mission History
On July 6, 1943 took off from Carney Field on Guadalcanal piloted by 1st Lt. Joseph R. Littlepage on a bombing mission against Kahili Airfield and Ballale Airfield. Last seen around 7:00-7:15pm over Choiseul. When this bomber failed to return and was reported as Missing In Action (MIA).

Memorials
The entire crew was declared dead on January 21, 1946. All earned the Purple Heart, posthumously. The entire crew is memorialized at Manila American Cemetery on the tablets of the missing.

Littlepage earned the Air Medal and Purple Heart, posthumously. He also has a memorial marker at Spring Hill Cemetery in Charleston, WV at cenotaph.

Goddard earned the Air Medal and Purple Heart, posthumously.

Scholl earned the Air Medal and Purple Heart, posthumously.

Conway earned the Air Medal and Purple Heart, posthumously.

Justus earned the Air Medal and Purple Heart, posthumously.

Denison earned the Air Medal and Purple Heart, posthumously.

Cluff earned the Air Medal and Purple Heart, posthumously.

Muhlhausen earned the Air Medal and Purple Heart, posthumously.

Posledni earned the Air Medal and Purple Heart, posthumously.

Brady earned the Air Medal and Purple Heart, posthumously.
