Aircraft History
Built by Consolidated in San Diego. Delivered to the U. S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as B-24D-13-CO Liberator serial number 41-23920. Ferried overseas via Hickam Field then across the Pacific to Australia.

Wartime History
Assigned to the 5th Air Force, 90th Bombardment Group, 321st Bombardment Squadron. Nicknamed "Liberty Belle". This B-24 operated from 5 Mile (Wards Drome) near Port Moresby flying bombing missions over New Guinea. Afterwards, flown back to the United States.

Postwar
After the war, this B-24 was sold by the War Assets Corporation to Mr. Paul Mantz and later scrapped in Stillwater, MN.
