Aircraft History
Built by Mitsubishi. This aircraft was either Model 22 or Model 32. Assigned to the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) to ? Kōkūtai.

Wartime History
Transported to Rabaul and operated over East New Britain. While parked on the inland side of Sule Airfield, this Zero suffered bomb damage to the starboard wing. Abandoned at the airfield.

Ray Fairfield visited on April 25, 1971:
"A Zero carcass in very poor shape, in the bush at the inland end."
