Aircraft History Built by Mitsubishi, estimated date of assembly early to mid October 1942 as the 202nd Model 32 built. Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) as Type 0 Carrier Fighter Reisen / A6M3 Model 32 manufacture number 3202. Wartime History Assigned to ? Kōkūtai (Air Group). This Zero was abandoned at Munda Airfield. Wreckage In early August 1943, this Zero was captured by the U.S. Army, 43rd Division at Munda Airfield. The wreckage was one of the Japanese aircraft captured at Munda and the manufacture number 3202 was noted on the wreckage. Ultimate fate unknown, likely scrapped or otherwise disappeared.
