Aircraft History
Built by Nakajima. Manufacture number either 2182, 1301, 1302, 8327, 2389 or 5352. At the factory, painted overall gray with a black cowling. Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) as A6M2 Model 21 Zero.

Wartime History
Assigned to an unknown Kokutai. Tail code "35" likely 1135 was painted in black on both sides of the tail. The rear fuselage had a red vertical stripe. This Zero was abandoned at Munda Airfield. Likely destroyed on the ground as the fuselage shows signs of deformation from nearby bomb blasts and the propeller was unbent.

In early August 1943, this Zero was captured by the U. S. Army. American Intelligence noted the manufacture number of this wreck.
