Aircraft History Tihs aircraft is actually A6M2 51553. After problems with the PNG Government, Australian Thomas King attempt to hide the Zero's true identity before exporting it to Australia. The Zero was meticulously repainted with bogus stencil 11593 with tail number 13-122. Bogus victory markings were painted on the side fuselage with white crosses over their silhouettes, indicating a total of ten victories: (top row) B-26, P-40, P-38, P-40, P-40, B-26 (bottom row) P-39, P-39, B-26, B-17.
