Built by Douglas as DB-7B with Constructor's Number 3824. Intended for use with the Royal Air Force (RAF) as AL892.

Wartime History
Delivered to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) and assigned serial number A28-14. Assigned to 22 Squadron. No known nose art or nickname.

Mission History
On February 9, 1943 took off from 5 Mile Drome (Wards) near Port Moresby on a mission against Malahang near Lae. The aircraft lost formation in the clouds on the return journey and failed to return to Port Moresby.

Memorials
All crew members are currently commemorated on the Port Moresby Memorial at the Bomana War Cemetery.
