Aircraft History
Built at Douglas. Shipped overseas and assembled at the 4th Air Depot at Garbutt Field near Townsville.

Assigned to the 5th Air Force, 312th Bombardment Group, 386th Bombardment Squadron and flown on a ferry flight from Cairns, Horn Island, 7-Mile Drome to Nadzab Airfield.

Mission History
On May 1, 1944 took off piloted by Col Strauss. While landing, this A-20 suffered a landing accident at Gusap Airfield and was written off.

After July 4, 1943, the tail fin from this aircraft was used to repair A-20G 43-21627.
