On February 15, 1944 took off from Nadzab Airfield on a mission against Kavieng. Over the target, this A-20 attacked shipping in Kavieng
Harbor and was observed to partially explode at about 200' altitude and go down with the left engine and wing on fire. The A-20 hit the water and exploded about out 200 yards north of Nusa Island, another A-20 over flew the wreckage and saw only a portion of the wing on the surface. Another reference places the position as 200 yards east of Nusa Island off Kavieng
The entire crew is memorialized on the tablets of the missing at Manila American Cemetery.
