B-24 
                Liberator Wreckage
                Dubodura was primarily a heavy bomber base 
                for B-24 Liberators. Aside from basing many aircraft, repair and 
                overhaul facilities, bomb dumps and revetment covered the area.
              Most of the bomber wrecks were scrapped after 
                the war. Despite this, I saw the remains of various B-24 hulks 
                in and around the airfield.
              Above is the fuselage section of a one of the 
                liberator wrecks. The nose turret is missing, as are the wings 
                and twin tail.
              Below is a B-24 wing and engines. This wing gave 
                the impression of the massive size of this bomber.
