Ship History
Built March by Kawasaki Kisen at Kobe in 1938.

Wartime History
On December 23, 1942 at 1400 this ship departed Paramushiro Island. in stormy weather to Kiska Island. Arriving on December 30, 1942 she anchored in Kiska Bay and began unloading its cargo.

Sinking History
By morning of on December 31, 1942, cargo unloading was completed. At 1100 American aircraft suddenly attacked. During the battle a bomb fell near the port side hold No.1 and water column fell back on ship causing further damage. The ship began flooding and lost power. During the raid, four crew were killed. Afterward, this ship underwent repairs. On January 4, 1943 during a violent wind and rain storm the ship was abandoned.

Wreckage
The wreckage was investigated in 2001, and found to be collapsing badly.
