Sinking History
Sunk February 5, 1944 by USAAF 5th Air Force aircraft at
3 20' S, 143 00' E.
Shipwreck
A wreck, likely this ship, rests on a flat, sandy bottom of the western bay of
Muschu Island, off Wewak.
The wreck is broken up into several sections, the bow, the center section
is collapsed, either from salvage or sinking. The propeller is
missing from the stern, salvaged post-war.
Justin Taylan dived in 2004 with John Douglas:
"The wreck is broken up and not as impressive, but there is alot of fish
life on it."
