Struck a mine and ran arground on the north side
of Aineman Island and sank into the lagoon, likely in late 1943. Targeted by numberous
American aircraft, and subjected to additional bombing when
mistaken for an active ship.
Shipwreck
The intact wreck sits partially out of the water,
the bow gun is still intact.
