Buka Bridge Telegraph Face Plate
This face plate was found in the mud under the telegraph and consisted of over 50 pieces. These pieces were cleaned and put together like a jigsaw puzzle. The etching on the face was only visible by tilting each piece to the light. The etched outlines were then filled in with black ink. Credit: Shirley CookDate: 1977
