A6M2 parts recovered from Taroa Airfield by John Sterling in 1991 included a rear tail section from A6M2 31574, the two side skins from the vertical fin of an unidentified A6M2 Zero Tail S-152 and part of a wing from an unidentified A6M2 (not from A6M3 Zero 31574 that had the small window on top of the ammo bay which was discontinued with 51551).
