Hagen has traveled around
the world looking at WWII wrecks to salvage, including the
United States, Lybia and Papua
New Guinea. Hagen has
previously worked with David
Tallichet / MARC,
and submitted a proposal to the PNG
Museum to
recover B-17E 41-2446 known
as Swamp Ghost, under the banner of 'Aero Archeology'. Meanwhile, he funded the salvage of P-47D 42-22687 by Robert Greinert
His permit expired for the B-17, it was quietly renewed and the bomber salvaged in late April / early May 2006, and became highly controversial and impounded. His company was mentioned in the PAC Report on the Swamp Ghost by the PNG Government.
