All of the Commemorative Air Force's aircraft are restored to flying condition. The museum recently relocated to this hanger, across from the San Diego air museum, just outside San Diego.

 L-5 Serial Number 42-14934
L-4

Built March 31, 1943

 F-4F Wildcat
F-4F

Beautifully restored, and seen here outside with wings in the retraced position.

 A-26 Intruder
A-26

Purchased from RCAF where it was serving as a fire fighting aircraft, the plane is now restored in RCAF markings from WWII.

 AT6 Texan
AT6

This aircraft is in authentic North African RAF markings, where Texans were pressed into service against the Germans. The nick name on the side of the cockpit is not a wartime marking. It was the name of the former owner's daughter, who was killed in a car accident.

 P-82 Twin Mustang
AT6

The museum recently acquired this aircraft from the USAF, which forced landed and will be restored to flying condition by the CAF. Seen here are photographs of the aircraft in storage. It had not yet arrived at the museum when I visited.
