Commemorative Air Force (CAF) has one of the largest collections of warbirds in the United States and annual airshow. Founded as the Confederate Air Force (CAF) at Old Rebel Field in Midland, Texas. On January 1, 2002 their name was changed to Commemorative Air Force (CAF). The organization has many regional branches including CAF
San Diego and CAF Camarillo. An early donor was Robert L. Griffin of San Antonio, Texas who donated three planes to the CAF: SBD-5 Dauntless 54532, SB2C Helldiver and FM-2 Wildcat.
American Airpower Heritage Flying Museum
This is an extensive museum covering WWII history, aviation hall of fame, displays related to aircraft and aviation, and special exhibits, like original WWII nose art.
