Located on the Allied Memorial at the WWII Memorial Park. The plaque reads: "1933 - 1942 To the many thousands of ou CCC buddies, America's tree soldiers of the 1930s who became a large part of our armed forces during the 1940s together with their fellow Americans who perished in the conquest of these western Pacific Islands and surrounding seas.
