Convair
B-32 Dominator
Designed by Consolidated Vultee Aircraft Corporation
(Convair) to compete with the B-29.
After the latter was selected by the USAAF, the B-32 was completed
as a less sophisticated alternative to the B-29, without cabin
pressurisation and remote-controlled turrets. It was ready later
than the B-29, and only 15 entered combat service with the 312th
BG's 386th BS was the only unit to fly the B-32 in combat at the
end of WWII.
Production
A total of 118 were built.
