Lat  18° 47' 25N Long 98° 58' 54E  Chiang Mai is located at an elevation of 1,020' / 310m in Chiang Mai Province in the North Region of Thailand. Wartime Allied spelling Chiengmai. Today, Chiang Mai is the second largest city in Thailand second to Bangkok.

Chiang Mai Foreign Cemetery
Located at Chiang Mai, the AVG Memorial was dedicated on November 11, 2003 at a ceremony attended by four veterans from the AVG including Charles Bond, Dick Rossi, Bob Layher, and Peter Wright. The memorial includes a cenotaph and a memorial plaque that reads "By their deeds you shall remember them" in English and Thai.
