Location
Lat 13° 45' 14N Long 100° 30' 5E  Bangkok is the national capital and largest city and is considered a special administrative area in the Central Region of Thailand. Also known as Thai as Krung Thep Maha Nakhon in the Thai language or simply "Krung Thep". Borders the Chao Phraya River. To the south is the mouth of the Menam River.

Wartime History
On December 9, 1941 the Japanese Army occupies Bangkok without opposition. During the Pacific War, occupied by the Japanese that utilized the city's rail road infrastructure. Between late 1942 until early 1945 attacked by Allied aircraft.

Royal Thai Air Force Museum
Has a collection of historic aircraft, including the only existing Japanese Tachikawa trainer, along with a Spitfire and several Nieuports and Breguets.
