Location
Located on the north coast of Guadalcanal, to the east of Point Cruz. 

Wartime History
Site of the initial Japanese landing on Guadalcanal July 5, 1942. Japanese constructed docks at this location. Occupied by US Marines during August 1942, these same docks were used by the Americans, until the location came into range of Japanese artillery emplaced to the west. Instead, Lunga Point anchorage was used instead.
