Fife Bay District

Area located to the south-east of Milne Bay, on the south coast of New Guinea.  

Eagle Point
Point on the south coast of New Guinea, with Fife Bay and Mullins Harbor on the south and north ends.

Fife Bay
Located on the south coast of New Guinea, this was the pre-war colonial headquarters of the district, and site of the present day town along Fife bay and is today a goverment station.

Mariawate
Village on Mullins Harbor

Mullins Harbor
Located on the the north-west of Fife Bay.  This bay is lined with mangrove swamps. Three B-25s from the 3rd BG, 90th BS crashed on a ferry flight from Australia to Port Moresby on April 24, 1942. ANGAU Captain 'Mac' Rich rescued the three crews and wrote a diary about the event.
