Boera Head
A conspicuous red cliff 50m tall at the southern end of a short range of coastal hills. Boera village is just to the east of this location.

Australian Heavy Battery (Boera Battery)
One of the Port Moresby Gun Batteries. on the coastal hills immediately behind Boera village.

Submarine Cable
During October 1943, the Australian army laid an underwater communication cable was laid off Boera head, to provide direct communication link between New Guinea and Queensland.
