Battle of Lupao
After the American landing at Lingayen Gulf, the 10th Tank Regiment, less one company was based at Lupao. Attacked by 6th Infantry Division, 35th Infantry Regiment on February 2, 1945. Just outside town, they came under fire from two tank companies and infantry that were dug into dry rice paddies, haulting the attack. The US Army 161st and 35th Infantry joined the attack and setup a road block to prevent the defender's escape. The 10th Tank Regiment lost 33 tanks, 26 trucks, 3 x 75mm guns and 300 casualties in the Lupao area.
