Mountain province in the interior of Luzon where Japanese Army forces retreated.
Butitio
Lat 16° 43' 13N Long 120° 58' 42E The Japanese 14th Army Headquarters moved to this inland mountain town, and fought against the US Army until Japan's surrender. The remainder of the 2nd Tank Division fought here as infantry, their tanks long since destroyed.
