Occupied by the Tanaka Detachment from Pescadores Island of the Japanese Army on December 10, 1941, with an additional landing at Aparri.

Aparri

Aparri Airfield (Aparri I, Aparri II)
Prewar airifled at the northern tip of Luzon, occupied by the Japanese until US Army 188th Glider Infantry Regiment landed at the strip and liberated it.

It was used by the Japanese Army Air Force aircraft from Formosa as early as mid-December 1941.
