"My parents, Paul Rexford and Catherine Veronica Crawford plus my two older sisters Pauline Shirley and Sharon Lee and myself Donald Ladd were in S.T.I.C. for the duration of the war after spending some time in the jungles with other Americans. My dad and I contracted malaria and since he was not able to provide for us we entered the camp."
