Probably a LVT is 200 yards from Mellu
in the direction of Roi-Namur, in 10-15 feet of water
in a bed of heavy coral growth. Probably sunk during the
invasion. The steering and instrument panel are still
recognizable. Its MG has been removed but belts of ammo
remain on the floor of the craft.
