Overpopulated, it is the only place to stay for non-US military personell to stay who are interested in diving the Kwajalein area.

First used by the Japanese for seaplane mooring and operatins.

After American occupation of the area in early 1944, the seaplane base was used by US Navy for the rest of the war.

Today
The former seaplane base has several wrecks in the water nearby.
