Adelup Point
During
the Japanese occupation of Guam, Adelup point was
a heavily armed site with fortifications built into
the rock cliffs. A battery of large guns was also
mounted at the point. After the recapture of the
island by the United States, Commodore W. O. Hiltabidle,
CEC USN, 5th Naval Construction Brigade, set up his
command post here. Today, site of the Adelup Park, part of the War In The Pacific Historic Parks.
