Kaseda (Bansei)

Construction
Bansei Air Base (Bansei Hikojo) was constructed for the defense of Okinawa, with the cooperation of the military and local people.

Waritme Usage
Used for only four months from March 28, 1945 until the end of the war. Called "the phantom kamikaze base". 201 kamikaze pilots, including 170 juvenile pilots, made kamikaze missions.
