Location
Lat 6° 58 min 54.01 Long 158° 12.18  Dakatik Island (Takatik) is located one mile north of Kolonia (Colonia) and is connected by a causeway to Pohnpei Island (Ponape) to the east is Langar Island. Also spelled Takatik, pronounced Dagajet. Located one mile to the south Kolonia (Colonia).

Wartime History
Dakatik was never occupied or used by the Japanese during the war.

Today
During the early 1970s, a causeway was built connecting the island to Pohnpei, and an airport developmed on the center of the island.
