Location
Located on the island of Borneo. Apart from its coastline with the South China Sea, it is completely surrounded by the state of Sarawak, East Malaysia. Brunei is the remnant of a very powerful sultanate that became independent from Great Britain in 1984.

Brunei Town
Lat 4° 52' 60N Long 114° 55' 60E  Also known as Bandar Seri Begawan, Bruni, Brunei or Brunei Town.

Occupied by the Japanese. On July 1, 1945 US Navy ships land the Australian 9th Division lands at Brunei Bay also Labuan and Muara Islands.
