Small town in central Queensland. The WWII sites in the area are located in national parks and private property.

Italian POW Camp
A wartime POW camp, for civilians of Italian and German decent from the area, who were interned here during the war. Not much of the camp remains, aside from cooking area.

Kroombit Tops
National Park land, located to the north-west of Monto.

McGlaughland Property / Yarrol
Located on private property, on the border between Monto and Yarrol, also known as "Magpie". The landowner, rancher Jeff McGlaughland keeps a visitor log of people who come to visit the C-47 wreck since 1980. The graves of its crew are in Bundaberg, and a propeller from the wreck is displayed at the Monto RSL.
