Location
Located at Doonside, west of Sydney.
Construction
Built
in 1942, as a satelite and emergency strip, then abandoned
in the later 1940's.
Rod Mountford reports:
"Remains of the strip are still there
as are some of the taxiways and some revetments, made of trees.
Most
of it remains today (until developers move in). It was only an
emergency/satellite strip and was given back in the
late 1940s to the original land owners."
