Nobuo Harada  Kawaguchiko Museum / Harada Collection

Harada is a Tokyo businessman who deals in automobile import and export. This funded the Kawaguchiko Car Museum. He is also a warbird enthusiast, and owner and restorer of several Zeros. Also, the tail section of a G4M2 Betty bomber. His collection is known as the Harada Collection.

Yap Recovery
In 1980, Harada recovered five Zeros from Yap Airfield They were restored for himself and other museums. A6M5 4708, A6M2 91518, A6M5 1493, A6M2 92717.

Yasukuni Shrine Restoration
Click For DetailsA6M5 4240 (with parts from A6M5 4241) was aquired by Harada, it took 20 years of restoration (1980-2000) to bring this aircraft back to static condition. Parts from several other Zeros were used in the restoration work. It was then donated it to Yasukuni Shrine for display. This aircraft served at Rabaul, and was recovered in 1974 other parts came from aircraft salvaged from Yap Airfield.
