Recovery & Display
One of two guns brought to Bogia in
1975 for PNG independence, to be displayed at the district goverment
station. Today,
it is displayed outside the Koale Trading company.
According to locals:
"One time a Japanese veteran came to Bogia, and looked at the gun, he got
very excited, and pointed to the '2582' [serial number] and said 'my gun'. He was very happy to see it."
