Wartime History
This gun was manufactured by Sir W.G.Armstrong–Whitworth (possibly 1900). These guns were also manufactured in Japan by Nihon Seiko Shi (Japanese Steelworks), their Japanese subsidiary.
This gun was emplaced in a turret at Sapuk on Moen Island (Weno) at Truk Atoll.

Myth
of Singapore Gun
It
is often reported that this was a British made gun,
captured by the Japanese in Singapore and relocated
