Japanese aircraft

Post by Nomdeplume_30 »

Could anyone tell me what type of Japanese this is? Seems like its been partly stripped . Was found in heavy jungle by my father back in the 60's. Working on getting a map reference.

this looks like the same aircraft photographed in 1995. Does anyone know the photographer Glenn Ping ?

Nomdeplume_30,
Yes, I agree this looks to be a Japanese Ki-51 Sonia, likely the one you posted on Borneo. Let me know if you have any other photos of this wreckage or the name of photographer, if we can add it to the page credited to the source.
