Hi All,

Before the forum went down, I had asked for any information about veterans who served in the Buna, Gona, Sanananda areas of Papua New Guinea between November 1942 and January 1943.

I've now been in contact with a number of Australian and American veterans and relatives, though am still looking for anyone else who might be interested in sharing their stories.

Have you gotten in touch with Garrett Middlebrook? If you're not aware he was a 38th BG Pilot who self published his journals in "Air Combat at 20ft". Last I check Garrett is alive and well and living in Texas. I have his contact info at home if you're interested. He flew with the 38th from Sept '42 to September of '43 and was involved in the Buna campaign amongst many others.
