Hi James,

1/Lt Vosse was co-pilot aboard 64th BS, 43rd BG B-24D 42-72811 which went missing on a mission to Yap on June 13, 1944. The crew for this mission was as follows:

Pilot - 1/Lt John C Duvall, O-677685 (MIA)
Co-Pilot - 1/Lt Fred M Vosse, O-674916 (MIA)
Navigator - 2/Lt Edward K Cornelius, O-688628 (MIA)
Bombardier - 2/Lt William B Edwards, O-688325 (MIA)
Radar Operator - 1/Lt Roy L Bridges, O-859788 (MIA)
Engineer - S/Sgt Charles V Meeder, 13134649 (MIA)
Radio Operator - T/Sgt Edward Jennings, 32662937 (MIA)
Asst Engineer - S/Sgt Thomas K Manning, 35392158 (MIA)
Asst Radio Op - S/Sgt Archie N Jones, 6251438 (MIA)
Gunner - S/Sgt Conrad J Hembree, 34721821 (MIA)
Gunner - Sgt Richard M Farnsworth, 31294168 (MIA)

Missing Aircrew Report (MACR) number 9340 deals with loss. It states that members of two other B-24s on this mission saw an aircraft explode in mid-air and crash into the water. Some wreckage was apparently located the following day, though searches for surviving crew members returned no results.
