Papua New Guinea - 2006

Post by Daniel Leahy »

Hi All,

After last year's awesome trip to PNG with Justin, I will be returning later in 2006.

My main goal is to head back and spend more time around the battlefields of Buna, Gona and Sanananda.

I'm also looking at possibly visiting Milne Bay or flying to Kokoda.

I doubt I'll get further up north, but would like to knock these few places off, then head up further next year.

A very good website I've found dealing with tourism in PNG is the Papua New Guinea Business Directory:

I returned from PNG about a fortnight ago - Having spent just over two weeks there.

Stayed in Port Moresby for a couple of days before heading to Sanananda for over a week. From here I travelled the beachhead battlefields in much greater detail than last year.

Photos will be uploaded to the site over the next couple of months.
