Hi, have just returned from a trip to PNG and visited Sanananda, Gona and Buna areas. While at Gona, some locals showed us some aircraft wreckage. When I returned to Australia I started researching and found that Pacific Wrecks had visited before and possibly identified the wreck as A28-20 Douglas Boston. What I did find on a piece of wreckage was marked ANA.172" Wondering what this could mean? Any ideas and I have photos if needed. Any other information appreciated.

No doubt pictures will help a great deal with identification.
