My name is Brad Flinders and I am new to the forum. I enjoy the studying WWII history and have spent some time visiting WWII sites in the aleutian Island Chain. In addition to studying history I also collect old beer cans with an emphasis on WWII vintage Olive Drab can that were produced for the troops outside the US. Has anyone here ever found these cans while visiting WWII sites? I was in Kodiak, Alaska in the mid 70's. I met a group of people who were on a crew tearing down Quonsut Huts on the island. Underneat most of these huts old beer cans from the war were found. Unfortunately nobody realized they had value and off to the dump they went. I'd like to hear if anyone out there has any of these cans.
